All the Carrefour hypermarkets in Spain have launched a new charity initiative to celebrate International Spina Bifida Day (21st November), in order to bring awareness to these congenital disease charities amongst schoolchildren.

In order to raise the necessary funds to carry out the Spina Bifida in schools project, there is currently a campaign in Carrefour centres: with every purchase of any children’s film, you can buy one of the four Charity Lunni cuddly toys for just €1.50.

The aim of this initiative is to improve pupils’, teachers’ and families’ knowledge about this malformation and to integrate children pupils with Spina Bifida into the classrooms of nurseries and primary schools.
